EARLY LIFE

Mynock was the son of a droid engineer and was raised by both his parents for most of his childhood. As a child he was considered to be nothing special, a child much like his parents. His father died when he was but ten years old, a result of an accident in the factory he worked at. His mother would die five years later of natural causes, though some believe that her broken heart over the loss of her husband was too unbearable. His mother told him before she died that she would always be with him, rather than taking comfort in her words, Mynock became enraged. She had left him….

As a young adult, barely sixteen years old, Mynock was left to fend for himself, in a time when the galaxy was at war this proved to be no easy task. Survival was a constant battle for food and water. Though not everyone had it difficult, there were local merchants that made quite a profit from the struggling lower-classes. As the merchants became rich, they started using the poor people to do their bidding, treating them no different then slaves. Mynock was no exception he was forced to do backbreaking labor, that would normally be done by droids, for a few credits. The merchants of his homeworld enjoyed the suffering from the lower-classes, they even placed bets on which employee would die while doing their work. It was at this time that he first realized that power controlled everything. In his eyes there were only two kinds of people; those with power and those who crave it.

At the age of eighteen, he saw how one of the merchants apparently was holding a feast by himself. The food could easily feed the entire workforce for weeks but he knew the merchant would never share it. It was a mixture of anger and desperation that would eventually lead him to the dark side, as he slipped into the home of the merchant and attacked him with his bare hands. After a small struggle, Mynock started to slowly choke the life out of his victim. As he could feel his victim dying, he felt powerful and strong. Despite the merchants wealth, he was at the mercy of his ‘slave’, he had lost his power. Mynock gave no mercy and after killing the man he took what he wanted. As he left the house of the merchant, a figure emerged from the shadows from across the street. The large man dressed in black followed the young Mynock to the outskirts of the town.

BECOMING A SITH

As Mynock enjoyed the reward of his recent actions, he was startled by a man dressed in black. Not thinking he rushed to engage the man. The man seemed to be amused by the way Mynock reacted and with just raising a hand he threw Mynock against the ground with incredible force. Mynock cursed at the man and once again charged his unknown visitor. This time the large man simple extended his arm and picked Mynock off the ground. He knew this was no ordinary man, as the air started to be choked out of his body. Mynock remained defiant, struggling to free himself from the invisible grasp. Then all of a sudden the hold on his throat was released, he fell to the ground and as he lay there he could hear the laughter from the man. The figure came to him, with only an offer... Mynock knew that this was his chance to finally break free from the lower-class, to be more then he was. A chance to control power rather than being controlled by it. Without hesitation he accepted the offer from the mysterious man....

The man started training his new apprentice in the ways of the Force and lightsaber mastery. He proved to be a efficient and brutal instructor. Each time Mynock failed to meet the expectations of his Master he would be punished. During lightsaber duels, his Master never held back if Mynock failed to block a blow. His Master made sure a scar would remind him of his failure. His Master never gave Mynock any medical aid, anger and fear were part of his lessons, and Mynock learned them well. Over time he became stronger and more powerful than he ever imagined. But with his increase in strength so too increased his lust for power. He often told his master that he would eventually surpass him, but his Master enjoyed how his apprentice had became such a powerful force. Mynock's drive and lust for constantly increasing his power earned him the nickname 'Mynock' from his master. Like a Mynock, he lived of power and constantly craved more.

At the age of twenty-six, it had became clear that Mynock had surpassed his Master in lightsaber combat but he had still much to learn in the ways of the Force.....

QUEST FOR ANCIENT POWER

Mynock's Master knew that his apprentice was finally ready to do what he had been training him for. The Sith Lord clearly had a secret agenda but it’s unclear as to what exactly he was after. He told his apprentice that there was nothing more for him to learn, however if he wished to truly became the greatest and most powerful of the Sith Lords, there was a way he could still increase his power. Mynock was intrigued by his master’s suggestion and asked his Master what kind of powers he could still learn. His master evaded the question but rather told a tale of a secret cult that possessed ancient knowledge of Sith Magic and powers long thought gone by the Lords of the Sith Order. As he told the tale he knew his apprentice would go after this cult and as expected, Mynock did.

His Master gave him instructions that if should find any lead on the cult, he was to contact him and only him. Together they would be heroes of the Sith, earning favor with the Ancient Dark Lords, and perhaps gain more power. As the great war tore through the galaxy, Mynock went his own path, and on occasion he would find himself in the thick of war. At times he was in battle, facing numerous enemies from both the Republic and the Jedi Order, but he never lost sight of his true goal. His search led him to many planets including Onderon, Yavin 4, and Nar Shaddaa; where he learned Huttese during a short time in the service of a vile Hutt gangster. It was during his time with the Hutt, that he learned about tales of mysterious force-users with exceptional powers,  that were hidden from the Sith Order, and were striking against Republic and Jedi forces.

BETRAYEL

Mynock's quest had taken him many months before he finally pieced together the different clues he had found on numerous planets throughout the galaxy. All different tales of powerful force users from an ancient world that were extremely skilled with a lightsaber, wearing dark robes with on it a strange symbol. Each story was different but there was one of Republic captain that pursued a craft of these warriors to what he called a ‘barren’ outer rim planet. Unfortunately the ship along with her captain and crew were never seen again leaving it a mystery where the mysterious force users came from. After all there were many planets that fit the description but Mynock's determination came through in the end, he had found what he was looking for. An ancient world littered with ruins and amongst them a small outpost not marked or known to anyone within the Sith Order. He could feel the presence of the dark side on the surface and knew that it had to be the right place.

Finally he had a lead on the ancient powers his master had spoken off and promised him. Before he had a chance to report back to his master he was ambushed by several dark assassins. They proved to be no match to his lightsaber skills and the fight with them was over within moments it had started. As he made his way to the outpost he noticed how the ancient ruins appeared to be familiar to him but he wasn’t sure as to why. He cleared his mind and continued his journey towards the outpost ignoring his feelings.

As he arrived at the outpost, Mynock realized that his actions would not go unnoticed and prepared himself for the upcoming battle. To his surprise the outpost was barely guarded, infact there were only two force-users present the bulk of the forces were simple soldiers dedicated but chanceless. He took them out with ease and made his way to the control room of the outpost from there he learned everything he could on this mysterious group. They called themselves the "Keepers of Shadow".....

COMING TO KORRIBAN

Mynock escaped the ancient barren world with his life. His pain gave him strength but he could feel his body weakening every passing second. He decided that the only action he could now take was going to the Academy of the Sith on Korriban. His master had not only betrayed him but the entire Sith Order with his last remarks. After a few days he arrived at Korriban, Mynock had lost his consciences as the ship landed itself. The Sith on Korriban were intrigued by the man that the ship had transported and took action to keep him alive. Days passed and Mynock was called to the leader of the Academy, it was time for answers. Although the leader was skeptical of Mynock's tale, he allowed him to stay at the academy.

He could not deny that Mynock had great skill, but he also noticed that there was still a lot of room for improvement. In his eyes, the young man that was Mynock would be an asset in the war. Mynock accepted the offer to train at the Academy, knowing that it was a way to proof himself worthy while at the same time mastering some techniques his master never fully thought him. As time passed, Mynock proved himself in numerous duels, slaying many would be Sith without mercy. The leader of the Academy was impressed with the great progress in skill Mynock had achieved, and at his own request, inquired with Sith Intelligence if there was any information on his Master's traitorous plots and ‘the Keepers of Shadow'.

Although ‘the Keepers of Shadow' were considered nothing but myth and lies from the Republic, there were reports on his former master, reports of his master destroying entire regions on planets with loyal citizens of the Sith Order, the reports state that he was searching for something but it was unclear as to what. His Master always made sure that there were never any survivors. His Master also had become an outcast within the Sith Order and the Sith Council personally gave the leader of the Academy permission to let Mynock hunt down the renegade, as the war had their own resources spread thin. The Academy of Korriban granted Mynock a cruiser with crew to take on his quest. Mynock named his ship the ‘Vengeance’ as a symbol for his burning hate and desire to get even with his old master.....

HIS REVENGE

Mynock and the ‘Vengeance’ traveled to many worlds and encountered numerous enemies. But his former master always managed to evade him, and his old master slowly became a low priority as the war demanded more and more attention of Mynock and his crew. However fortune smiled on Mynock, as he learned from his old Hutt connections that a bounty hunter had found his master and his cruiser in an isolated outer-rim sector. It was the chance Mynock had awaited, he wasted no time and ordered his cruiser to the sector.

When the ‘Vengeance’ arrived in the sector it was met by a battle cruiser. As the two ship waged battle, Mynock ordered his soldiers to launch the small agile Sith fighters and engage the bridge of the battle cruiser. Mynock gave command of the ‘Vengeance’ to his trusty General and joined the small fighters. The battle didn’t last long as the combined might of the small starfighters and guns of the ‘Vengeance’ did massive damage to the battlecruiser. As Mynock saw the cruiser slowly tear itself apart from all the small explosions, he sensed that his master was not aboard the ship. Instead he felt his master presence coming from an asteroid not far from the battle. As the small starfighters were still engaging some of the last fighters and even some escape pods from the battle cruiser, a lone fighter descended to the asteroid with a small base on it.

As Mynock approached the asteroid, he could clearly feel his master hiding himself from the battle. Mynock's arrival on the asteroid did not surprise his former master. He had always known that it was only a matter of time before their paths would cross again. In a vision he had seen Mynock survive his ordeal on the planet only to take revenge on him. In an act of desperation he offered his former apprentice to discover the secrets of ‘the Keepers of Shadow’ together. Mynock offered him a reminder.....

‘Those with power do anything not to share or lose it, I’ll make sure you won’t ever have to share it....my Master...’

As Mynock ignited his lightsaber and readied himself. His Master watched him and smiled, his apprentice had became very powerful. For a moment it appeared as if his own master was proud of his apprentice even though he knew one of them would not walk away from this duel. His Master unhooked his lightsaber and ignited it, moments after, Mynock rushed to engage his former master in a duel. The duel moved all over the asteroid base, many punches and Force attacks clashed as the two Sith struggled to get the upper hand. Even though his master was still stronger in the use of the Force, Mynock was far more skilled in lightsaber combat.

After his master made a small mistake, Mynock made a swift stroke and disarmed him. From then it was only a matter of time before he would deliver the fatal blow. He forced his master up into the control room, cornering him. Right before he killed his former master, he looked outside and watched out over the asteroid, noticing his victory, as soldiers landed to secure the base, he grinned... feeling true power, he was now a Sith Lord. He stabbed his former master through the chest and took the cloak off the corpse. He had come out victorious and by his own right he took up the mantle of Sith Lord and assumed the name Darth Mynock.

His personal war was over.... but the galaxy was still in turmoil, his quest for power was far from over....

THE KEEPERS OF SHADOW

Darth Mynock had discovered new information thanks to the use of his old master’s holocron. It still took him years, but he finally found ‘the Keepers of Shadow’. His skills and determination in finding ‘the Keepers of Shadow' had impressed high ranking members within the cult and they agreed to take him in. But before he could assume his role within the 'Keepers of Shadow', he was ordered to slay his own field-commander as a sign of loyalty and devotion to the dark side of the Force. Mynock traveled back to his ship and summoned his commander only to impale him when he entered his chamber. Over time he became one of the most powerful members of the cult. But as he unlocked the secrets of the 'Keepers of Shadow', he still constantly craved for more. Driven by this craving for power, he eventually challenged the leader of the ‘Keepers of Shadow’ to a duel.....

It’s leader was an middle-aged man, that hardly seemed worthy of leading such a powerful cult. After a brutal duel in which Mynock struggled to gain the upper hand, he eventually managed to slay the leader. Darth Mynock didn’t care whom he had killed but it was clear to him that this man, was in fact, not the leader of the cult. After slaughtering the remaining members stationed on the planet, Darth Mynock found information that the real ruler of the Keepers of Shadow, is an extremely powerful Sith Lord and most likely is held in the company of the Dark Lord of the Sith himself.

Before leaving the dense jungle planet, Mynock traveled far across the planet in search of the last temple of the Keepers of Shadow. In a matter of hours, Mynock located the temple, and infiltrated it. Mynock slayed well over twenty cult members, including a Master of the Temple. After besting their Master, the remaining cult members bowed before Mynock, declaring him the Dark Lord of the Cult. Darth Mynock accepted their offer with little taste. He twisted and played with their minds, only getting information out of them. Until he came across information about the former Master of the Temple's holocron. He spent two months searching day and night throughout the temple for it, over ten cult members died of hard labor in search of it. He tore down the temple, before utterly destroying it. Darth Mynock found a secret tomb, inside, held an ancient Sith Lord. Unknown to who it was, Darth Mynock opened the tomb, and found the ancient Sith's holocron. Upon opening it, a doppelganger of the ancient Sith appeared and fought Darth Mynock, only to be decimated by the Sith Lords newly found skill. Accessing the holocron, he learned all he could about the 'true' ruler of the cult. Learning important details as such as, that the ruler of the cult, was no other then the ancient Sith Lord who owned this tomb. Connecting the doppelganger and the ruler of the cult, Darth Mynock deemed that he can and will defeat this Sith Lord, and in someway, get close to the Dark Lord of the Sith....
